BBQ & Birthdays

Yesterday Momma and her friend Angela went to a spa and got massages.  It felt so relaxing and Momma says her back feels like someone untied all the knots!  I really liked the soft music and relaxing breathing.  Hope we go back soon!  Then we had brunch and chatted about everything under the sun.  Daddy made steak for dinner and we watched Date Night movie.  We are all up early today so we can get ready to meet my PopPop at Smoque for Daddy's birthday lunch--Smoque in the big city of Chicago!  Momma likes their Mac N Cheese & Daddy loves their brisket sammiches.  Big discussion will ensue on the drive of how old I have to be when Daddy can puree his BBQ so I can taste it.  From the delicious smoky smells from the belly, I cannot wait.  Also, Daddy has yet to decide how many sandwiches he wants to take 'to go'.  It started with 2 or 3 and worked its way up to five!!After lunch Momma will make Daddy a cheesecake for a birthday cake.  Lent starts late this year so Daddy actually gets to eat birthday cake!  Momma is going to try to make them bite size!!  Time to scrub a dub so we can be on our way to lunch!

Case of the Mondays & Strawberry Smoothies

Momma, Daddy & Uncle Doc worked very hard this weekend on the basement.  The utility/laundry/storage room is now complete.  Daddy & Uncle Doc moved the washer, dryer, & water heater.  They also built new shelving for storage tubs along the entire wall.  A door and walls are now built as well, daddy's man cave is on its way!!  So with all that hard work this weekend Momma & Daddy are exhausted after work, so we are just chillin' catching up on our TV shows. 
I can't decide what I think of Momma's strawberry smoothies, but they certainly make me excited!  When she drinks them, I swim around in her belly and kick like crazy!!

Basement Renovation Begins

Momma's Uncle Pat (Doc) came over last night to begin the basement renovations and he brought his 2 little dogs Andy & Ollie.  My furry siblings have new friends to play with in muddy backyard.  Daddy is finally getting his "man-cave" finished for his pool table & bubble hockey and Gamma Gayle's bedroom is being moved as well.  There is so much to do!! 
Uncle Doc worked on the water heater while we were at work today and found that Daddy & Uncle Cheese put some fittings on backwards and it was a miracle we had hot water at all!  In any case, he moved the water heater and fixed the problems.  Uncle Doc is a funny character with all his voices, and a font of knowledge and great help for fixing up the basement.  Momma is already plotting how to save her pennies to have Doc build Daddy a custom bar to go with his new man cave! 
The rest of today Daddy will be moving the storage area to the garage, so they can begin work on Gamma's new room.  Momma is going to draw some ideas on paper and hang out with me, maybe look on the 'puter for a new crib for me. 

Valentine's Day!

Daddy convinced Momma that Chinese food would be a delicious pre-V day dinner on Sunday, even though she was convinced that it has smelled like feet since I came along.  Dinner did not sit well and she got really sick.  It lasted through the night and into Monday.  Momma & I spent Valentines Day at home and lots of quality miserable time in the bathroom.  Daddy called to check on us a bunch and brought home flowers for Momma...Awwww  Momma got Daddy a magnetic knife rack and Boos Cream for his favorite cutting boards.  Then, Daddy made crusty bread from PopPop & we all watched the DVR of our show Shameless and we called it a night!  HAPPY VALENTINES!
